Edge-Unfolding Polycubes

A polycube is a face-connected union of unit cubes. For every genus-zero polycube, determine whether there exists a spanning tree of cuts along edges of its surface unit squares such that the cut surface develops into one connected nonoverlapping polygon in the plane.
